Community Youth Work in an Interface Context module
16th December 2014
SLIG has recently delivered our own pioneering module as part of the ‘Youth Work Studies Certificate Course’ at Ulster University. The module entitled ‘Community Youth Work in an Interface Context’ is now an integral part of the options provided by the School of Sociology and Applied Social Studies, and we are currently working alongside the university’s adult education department to explore the possibility of developing and delivering a similar module at post-graduate level. Ciaran has just completed teaching the 12 sessions over the course of 5 weeks, including field trips to Lower Newtownards Road, Short Strand and SLIG. This was the 3rd delivery of the module through the University of Ulster, and we continue to work closely around future work.
