Active Communities - free sports training available!
8th May 2014
As a member group of Belfast Community Sport Development Network (BCSDN), SLIG can offer a free resource of sport and physical activity coaching to all groups in Suffolk and Lenadoon.
BCSDN have deployed twenty coaches across Belfast in key partner organisations including our very own James Wright, a multi skills coach, based in SLIG.
James delivers twenty two hours of coaching every week and works with groups over a 6-8 week period to increase sport and physical activity.
James can deliver a wide range of sports and physical activities including football, dodge ball, Olympic handball, tag rugby and much, much more. Indeed James has delivered various sessions to local groups over the last year including Colin Glen Trust, Suffolk Youth Club, Suffolk Community Centre, Horn Drive drop in centre, St Oliver Plunkett FC, St Oliver Plunkett PS, Glen Parent Youth Group, Kids Together, Glen CC pensioners group and others.
Other coaches have also delivered locally to groups such as Sarsfields GAC, St Pauls GAC, SLIG Older & Active group and others.
The other coaches are skilled to deliver a diverse range of activities such as Tennis, Cricket, Rugby, Athletics, GAA, Football, Cycling, Multi Sports, Physical Activity specific for females, and an Older Persons coach.
All these coaches are fully vetted, qualified and vastly skilled in their field of choice. Their services are available to the entire community free of charge. If any group or individuals would like to book a coach or find out more, please contact Neil McKee on 028 9062 9146, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
